What is Patnership for Climate?

What is "Partnership for Climate"?

The Ministry of the Environment undertakes a series of measures related to COP 14, which are aimed at raising the social awareness of climate change and ecological education. Through our actions we want to make others aware of the scale of threats resulting from climate change and the need to prevent them. We invite you to cooperate with us on this unique and prestigious event and let the organisation of the UN Climate Conference be a pretext to act and suppress the effects of climate change.

For this purpose we have created "Partnership for Climate"!

The aim of the Partnership is to carry out comprehensive, innovative educational and promotional actions related to climate change and related to the organisation of 14th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. We encourage media, government and non-governmental organisations, institutions, organisations and other entities involved in counteracting climate change to cooperate with the Ministry of the Environment under the Partnership for Climate. We expect the interested parties to set forth proposals of specific measures (actions, events, publications, meetings, conferences, debates etc. open for a wide group of recipients) along with their schedule.

"Partnership for Climate" means:
  • Platform of cooperation of the Ministry of the Environment as COP 14 organiser and institutions and entities interested in education in terms of climate change prevention.
  • Building the widest possible network of partners and intention to reach the largest group of recipients possible by means of diverse formulas (scientific conferences, media debates, concerts, happenings, exhibitions).
  • Building a “climate for changes” in Poland, which as soon as in December will host COP 14, the most important political summit on climate changes.

Benefits for the Partners:
  • Partner for Climate status under the event carried out in relation to COP 14, Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Poznań 2008.
  • Undertaking specific actions to counteract climate changes in cooperation with a prestigious partner and in relation to COP 14, important global environment protection event, which can be incorporated into CSR policy of the entity or use for its image.
